Vietnam‘s pepper exports exceeded 110,000 tons in just six months

Most markets such as India, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Netherlands, Spain increased imports volume except Germany. The German market showed a decrease of pepper imports from Vietnam. In the first 6 months of this year, Germany imported only 3,525 tons, according to data from the Ministry of Agriculture Vietnam. India imported 7,431 tons of pepper from Vietnam and Pakistan imported 4,511 tons in the same period.

 

Export of pepper in Vietnam may hit the record $ 1 billion in this year, about 140,000 tons are exported according to Vietnam Pepper Association (VPA).

 

International Pepper Community (IPC) predicted global supply decreased by 45,000 tons to 320,000 tons this year and the demand will continue high, remaine the pepper prices in high level. Holding about 50% market share of the global market, Vietnam completely dominate the market.

 

 Vietnam‘s pepper products exports to over 90 countries and territories, according to VPA, Europe and Asia continued to be the largest export markets.

 

Price hikes
