Vietnam coffee export rised up 1.5 % on April

(CDC) - According to data of International Coffee organization pulished recently, Vietnam exported 2.45 million bags of coffee (60 kg/bag) in April, up 48.5 % compared with the same period last year.

The total export volume of Vietnam‘s coffee in the first 7 months of the crop year 2013/2014 (calculated from January 10/2013 to May 9/2014) to 12.5 million bags, down slightly by 3.5% compared to the same period last year the previous season.

Thus, Vietnam ranks second in the world coffee export volume in April, just after Brazil, export volume reached 3 million tons (up 6.8% yoy). As in the first 7 months of this year, Brazil also lead Vietnam with the export volume reached 20 million tons (up 8.9% compare with the previous period).
 

Coffee Exports

Coffee Exports of  the two countries goes beyond the leading countries like Colombia, export volume reached 824 thousand bags, India reached 528 thousand bags Honduras reached 480 thousand bags or Indonesia reached 450 thousand.

Thee nation reach the first rate of export growth in April was Burundi with the volume reached 6,000, up 344% over the same period.

In April, the world coffee exports reached 10.3 million, up 4.6% compared to the same period last year, bringing the export volume first 7 months of the crop year to 63.4 million bags, down 3, 4%.
