When installing irrigation system, he self-test to measure how many meters of water was irigated into the foot of pepper trees in one hour, the way water absorbed into ground ... Since then, he improve further on the original water pipe, two pipes instead of only 1 tube, to ensure the water is absorbed  steadily and not to waste water, fertilizer.

Since 2009, Mr. Lap tested the model to plant wild peanuts in the garden. This model helps avoid grass cover, prevent erosion, in addition to keep soil moisture it also has many effects, such as creating useful microorganisms, helping to the beneficial insects development that improve soil, reduce spread of the fungus, diseases ... Each year, he cut grass in the peanut garden 2 times in order to  avoid pepper losses when falls and mixes into the grass. This model is widely appling by farmers in the province and other provices.

Mr. Hoang Van Lap shared: "I‘m not afraid to apply, test new things in production. But the key point is before applying I always find out and understand problems. When hearing transplant pepper model gave high yeild, I had come to visit transplant garden, learned and brought the transplant pepper to observe. Whenever I have changes to visit other provinces, I always came to the good pepper farmers to learn more about this new variety. "

Mr. Lap said: "I studied law, after 1975 I started to do the gardening. All stages from fertilization, using drug ... I have to learn from theory to practical applications. When starting to plant pepper, I not only participated in all training courses on technique at the local but also gained experiences from practice. Wherever I went if I saw any beautiful garden or died garden, I inquire the cause. "
