(Dân trí) - On April 12th morning, at the September 2nd hall in Pleiku city, Gia Lai province The 2nd Central Highlands Investment Promotion Conference was held with the purposes of continuingly make chance to attract the foreign and domestic investors invest more strongly in Central Highlands.
The attendants include: Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung; Mr. Vuong Dinh Hua-Chairman of Central Economy Committee; the Top-ranking General Tran Dai Quang-Minister of Police Bureau, Chairman of Central Highlands Steering Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Binh-Governer of the State Bank; Mr. Bui Quang Vinh-Minister of Plan and Investment Ministry, and other leaders of Central Highlands provinces… In addition to, more than 600 delegations who are leaders of banks and enterprises also attend.
The conference was held by Central Highlands Steering Committee in cooperation with Ministry of Plan and Investment, the State Bank and Provincial People’s Committees of Central Highlands, Gia Lai is the host province for the 2
nd Conference. This is the national major investment promotion event to present to the foreign and domestic investors about the Central Highlands’ potential, advantages; schemes and policies on encouraging, preferential treatment, attracting investment, major projects need funding…in the period of 2013-2015.

Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung emphasized "The local authorities in the region should strengthen coordination and implementation of an effective planning, linking potential advantages, create voices common to attract investment and development. Focus on training and development of skilled human resources and qualified management; and appropriate policies to encourage applications, innovation and technology transference and boosting administrative reforms to create favorable environment for development investment. Government will continue to review and additional study the mechanism of incentives, special incentive to develop several potential areas, advantages in Central Highlands to attract investment and fast sustainable growing. "
Besides, the Prime Minister also noted that the attraction of investment in Central Highlands shall inherent in enhancing efficiency of using investment sources especially in ensuring defense – security and social safety and order.

The Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam-Mr. Nguyen Van Binh affirmed: in the past years, the development of network infrastructure of banks system and non-bank financial institution have always been interested in expanding the Central Highlands’ regions. By the end of 2012, there are approximate 600 branches, transaction offices, people’s credit funds which aim to provide capital, financial services for the development of Central Highlands’ economy and contribute to limit loaning with high interest. In the coming time, the banks will continue to improve their policies, use effectively tools of credit, monetary policy and network development policy in order to adjust, apportion the credit sources, develop financial-banking services… and help economy and society in Central Highlands develop fast and sustainably.

Parallel to that, the State bank of Vietnam will continue to direct and connect all funding programs on welfare for districts, communes and the poverty in Central Highlands’ regions in order to create the improvement in production, trading, travel conditions, medical care, education… for citizens in Central Highlands.
At the conference, the banks continuously commit to fund on welfare for Central Highlands with over VND 182 billion. This is the responsibly support of departments, enterprises, investors in the whole country for the development of Central Highlands. There are 12 projects which will be signed on investment with the amount of nearly VND 20.000 billion. The investors also commit to contribute in welfare program for Central Highlands provinces.
We can say that the 2nd Central Highlands Investment Promotion Conference – 2013 has opened a lot of “golden opportunity” for the investors to come to Central Highlands. This is a significant motivation creating momentum in development of Central Highlands in the coming time.
