Kon Tum: Farmers build cleaned coffee brand themselves

(CDC) - The farmers have formed cooperatives implement production process clean coffee 4C sustainability standards.

 After two quite successful brands in production and processing cleaned coffee in the market, Dak Ha district, Kon Tum province has the third cleaned coffee brand which active on the basis of voluntary capital contribution, farmers’ plantations and production business through cooperative model.

 

Voluntary follow the process of producing sustainable cleaned coffee production in compliance with 4C standards, 7 households in 5 village, Ha Mon commune, Dak Ha district, Kon Tum province has established  Sau Nhung trading cooperative, expand are ​​over 20 hectares in this crop, and processing and product launches clean pure coffee powder.

 

To enhance the value of their coffee, farmers volunteer to contribute more than 3 billion VND to renovate buildings, install of processing chain and find the product markets.

Mr. Nguyen Tri Sau, Chairman of the Board of Govenor of Sau Nhung Trading Cooperative said the top targets of Cooperative are following seriously techniques in manufacturing process, ensure hygiene quality from input to offer the best products. Increasing the areas and find out more market to sale more products, then increase profits, mobilize more members involved to cooperative in order to build strong coffee brand, ensure stable life for members .

 

Dak Ha district is the largest coffee area Kon Tum province, with over 7,000 hectares. In order to enhance the value of coffee, increase income for farmers, for years local government has implemented various solutions to mobilize farmers harvest coffee with ripe bean rate over 95%, to encourage farmers apply the cleaned coffee production model, promote post-harvest processing and associate groups in coffee production business through cooperative model. /.
