(CDC)- On 30 May 2014, in Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province, Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development (IPSARD) held a conference on “enhancing the effectiveness of extension activities for ethnic minorities in coastal South Central, Central Highlands and the Mekong Delta".

The conference aims to provide a basis and proposes to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) about the editing content, additional extension policies to support MARD reviewing and amending the policies and regulations related to agricultural activities.
Attending the workshop were representatives of the Center for Agriculture, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in the southern central provinces and the Central Highlands, the central agencies, research institutions; and representatives of local and international organizations: World Vision organization, the Community Development Center, ActionAid, IFAD project.
At the conference, delegates heard the reports introducing the result of extension activities for ethnic minorities in the South Central region and Central Highlands by IPSARD. The participants had actively discussion about experience in extension activirties, identify existing problems in current agricultural policies in order to find solutions to improve the efficiency of agricultural policies, enhance the efficiency of agricultural extension activities.
