In May 2012, Community Developent Center (CDC) completed the training with 550 farmers participated on sustainable planting techniques for coffee in Lâm Đồng. This is activity in the framework of sustainable Robusta coffee program at Nam Ban town, Lâm Hà District, Lâm Đồng province, sponsored by INTIMEX Mỹ Phước Joint Stock Co.
During the time of training class, farmers were guided and shared knowledge on GAP by CDC expert such as: varities selection, cutting techniques – shaping, irrigation techniques and fertilizer reasonably using for coffee tree. Beside that, the CDC experts visited some coffee farmers’house to consider , supervise and guide the real practice. From that supplying the effective solution to help farmers in planting process. The IMTIMEX Mỹ Phước Joint Stock Co also gave over 550 document sets of each: 4 DVD on caring and sustainable planting techniques for coffee tree including 4 episode:
- Ep 1: soil – fertilizer – forest fence and shade - watering
- Ep 2: Pest
- Ep 3: Picking – producing - storage
- Tập 4: varities and implant techniques

Through training classes, farmers were supported and guided the GAP standards effectly. This is opportunity for farmers to supplement the knowledge about sciencefic techniques in farming. Thence, farmers have been more and more changing traditional planting to advanced sciencefic techniques for planting to improve and keep the quality and value of coffee bean. All practice for business and production are under the 4C standard and UTZ Certified in order to ensure the quality and yield are always guaranteed from the first stage to the final product.

Ending of training class, the program met the goals of class. That farmers participated fully and seriously is the effectiity of cappacity strengthening training and awareness of farmer about the benefits that the project brang.
