Sustainable Robusta Coffee Program of Branch of INTIMEX Joint Stock Co, in Buon Ma Thuot city.

In July 2012, Community Development Center ( CDC) completed the training program on introducing the 4C standard and requirements from 09 – 14/7/2012 and 4C standard for coffee plant. This is the first program under the training package on supporting techniques, building the 4C standard system for coffee plant, in framework of cooperative program between CDC and Branch of INTIMEX Joint Stock Co in Buon ma Thuot city.

That applying 4C standard ensures the sustainblity of economic, social and enviroment. Harvested product is the product which has responsibility, meets the need of consumers, ensures the benefit of Parties in whold producing chain, doing coffee business from production to consumption. This is shown through clearly 10 unexcepted practices, 11 social principles, 11 environmental principles and 06 economical principles. Applying general rules for coffee community is the initicating step towards global sustainable and transparent coffee community.

Farmers particing in training to apply 4C standard

Applying the 4C standards is requirements perfectly suited to the conditions of Vietnam, especially coffee farmers. This will help coffee farmers in Vietnam have been continually improving product quality, and is the basis for the application of higher standards for coffee production and business, improving competitiveness significantly, improving the brand image of coffee Vietnam in the future.
