Project “Transfering the integrated technical measures to save input cost for coffee plant.”

·         Time: From December 2012 to December 2013.
·         Location: Buôn Ma Thuột city, Ea H’leo District, Krông Buk district - Đăk Lăk province.
·         Sponsored Unit: World Bank (WB).
·         Implementing Unit: Community Development Center (CDC).
·         General goal: Transfering the integrated technical measures to save input cost for coffee to exploit fully Integrated Plant Management ( IPM) for coffee in Daklak, reducing input cost, increasing economic effectivity, ensuring the needs of enviroment protection
·         Detail goals:
      - Assessing coffee production status, especially material using status, caring process, pest prevention… at 03 areas of Krông Buk, Ea H’leo and Buôn Ma Thuột city to adjust integrated process saving input cost for coffee, being suitable for natural condition and cultivating habit of farmers.
     - Transfering technical measures to save input cost such as; reducing chemical fertilizer, supplying more leaf fertilizer, harvesting by machine and increasing the coffee quality after harvesting.
   - Ensuring productivity achive from 2,5 - 3 bean tons/ ha, saving cost from 10 - 15 %;
     -  Rasing awareness and skill of farmers through training classes , techniques training, on site workshop,… to build foundation for farmers towards production and quality application as ICM, GAP standards… increasing knowledge, changing cultivating habit in 03 areas Krông Buk, Ea H’leo and Buôn Ma Thuột city.
